The Character Profile in every work environment

Find my version of character profiling of people I have studied in the years I have spent working in various industries. Enjoy and do list yours too;

The Doers: These people never wait to be told before they come up with ideas and implement them. They love the competition and love to be known as achievers. They strive for success and continuously improve on themselves and their work. These are usually the people who make it up the ladder fast and are usually managers. They are self-assured and very independent. They are very perceptive, witty and clever. They have a natural ability of convincing others of their point of view. They are problem solvers.

The Users: This set like to use people to get what they want. In psychology, we call them the manipulators. The manipulator deliberately creates an imbalance of power and exploits the victim to serve his or her agenda. Most manipulative individuals have four common characteristics;
1.       They know how to detect your weaknesses.
2.       Once found, they use it against you.
3.       Through their shrewd machinations, they convince you to give up something of yourself to serve their self-centered interests.
4.       In work, social, and family situations, once a manipulator succeeds in taking advantage of you, he or she will likely repeat the violation until you put a stop to the exploitation.

The Talkers: All they do is talk about people, twisting their achievements and laugh at their strengths, looking for faults instead of building theirs. They spend time cooing over others without concentrating on improving themselves. These people usually have little to show for themselves. They like to talk about everything and are actually good talkers but rarely know what they are talking about. They spend most of their working hours just talking about all that is wrong in the system, the country and in people.

The Yessirs: These people are comfortable just being followers. They do not strive to be leaders. They are comfortable with what they have. The truth, they are too lazy to grow in their career. They just want to earn a salary and have no ambition of growing as they fear more work. They are comfortable being the boss’s favorite worker – who feeds them the latest gossip, spies on other colleagues and do the boss dirty jobs. They are comfy with passing the boss orders down. Their favorite word is ‘Yes Sir’.

The Dreamers: They are usually creative people. They love to dream up ideas and bring their dreams to reality. They, however, have a problem with commitment as they do not like to be time bound. They are not about getting the job done to ‘sell’ but to ‘win awards’; they are all about creativity. They are poor listeners as they like to do many things at the same time and in their own way – as the spirit leads. They commit to more work than they can deliver. They are good at stating their project but bad at finishing up as new ideas take the front seat in their minds.

The Watchers: These people like to be the back benchers. They like to watch everything going on in the office but won’t participate. They are not also bothered about growth and hate change. They grumble about everything and have nothing good to say about the business. They pretend in front of their bosses but behind them, they sneer and rain abuses. They discourage every new staff and are bad ambassadors of the brand. They are slow at work and usually are the first to get the sack due to their non-enthusiastic approach to work. They are the first to say negative things about a new initiative.

I hope you enjoyed my analysis. Please do not take this seriously as it is just me faffing around, doing what I like doing most…writing lol.
